A constituent college of the Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya, the School of Nanotechnology was set up in 2007 and is dedicated to the study of nanotechnology. This Bhopal based specialist institution focused on research and education in the highly progressive area of nanoscience with a special emphasis of practical application. The school, recognised by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), involves two professionals of the industry to teach learners about this complex subject area. The School of Nano-technology gives crucial exposure to a single specialised course, making the atmosphere intense for the fresh nanotechnologists.

School of Nanotechnology boasts of extra curricula facilities aimed at improving on the comfort of the learners. The well furnished library having more than 3000 books exclusively on nanotechnology and nanoelectronics separately is improving with an e-library having computers and high range internet connection. Such richness in resource application alllow sthe students to go deep in their areas of study. The school also has departmental laboratory, it is important for the mastery of mechanical force form of nanotechnology as well as the practical assessment of other forms of nanotechnology through experimental modeling of samples typical to the respective department. For students,  the institution provides hostel facilities for both male and female student strictly observing the need for order and discipline in order to facilitate effective study.

As a basis of all studies offered by the School of Nanotechnology, the School’s flagship programme is the (PGD) in Nanotechnology. This course is a two-year full course programme which aims at producing students with adequate knowledge in this field of nanotechnology.
