SD College of Information Technology, Tanuku, was established in the year 2001. It is one of the affiliated colleges in the West Godavari District, Andhra Pradesh. The college has been approved by the AICTE and imparts special education in the field of information technology. This compact 2.85-acre campus provides education to 315 students and 13 faculty members. The SD College of Information Technology focuses heavily on the value and quality of education provided through its two postgraduate programmes that students undertake in technology and management studies.

There are several amenities valued on the campus to ease up the learning process and develop the student's personality overall. The availability of separate hostel facilities for boys and girls out of town gives them a good place to reside in. They are designed in such a way that they cater to the updated requirements of the IT and business sectors. Admission at SD College of Information Technology is mainly conducted from the Andhra Pradesh Integrated Common Entrance Test (APICET). The entrance test at the state is a very important milestone for students who aim to get into the MBA or MCA programmes at KLBCET. The college strictly follows the timelines offered by APICET, usually conducted once a year.
