SD Kanya Mahavidyala Mansa came into existence in 1969 as an affiliated college for women situated in Mansa Punjab. Located in Mansa, the college was founded more than fifty-years ago to provide education to female students. It has student enrolment of 456 and faculty of 25 and has programme and course matrix of 8 courses falling in various categories. As a women’s college, it takes appropriate care of the needs of the students to offer quality education in the part and courses in Commerce, Computer Applications, Punjabi and Information Technology.

SD Kanya Mahavidyala provides and has available a number of resources aimed at improving student learning and personal development. The huge library support is with an excess of 25000 books inclusive of reference books and encyclopedia and newspapers, magazines, and journals in different foreign language. The institution also runs a book bank for needy as well as deserving students. For those who need to be housed the institution has a girls hostel containing among other things a generator, mess, water coolers, and the likes.
