NM College of Commerce and Economics Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The college has a Gym facility for the students. The gymkhana staff is highly qualified. The college participates in games from the district to the national levels. Well-known coaches train students for indoor and outdoor games, training them to excel at intercollege tournaments at national and international levels.

The College library has a wide collection of 66900 gross numbers of books relating to various topics, 94 Journals and magazines, and 307 CDs. New arrivals are displayed in the book showcases near the library entrance. The UGC Network Resource Centre in the library has five computers with access to the Internet and a network printer. The facility of an e-library with access to more than 27 databases on various topics is used by a good number of students and faculty members. The library has institutional membership of the British Council Library-www.mylibrary.britishcouncil.org, the American Centre Library, the Indian Commerce Association, and the Maharashtra Economic Development Council. The library is regularly taking care of student suggestions about new books and library development.

The college has an excellent IT Infrastructure facility for the students. The well-equipped computer laboratories with 90 computers and Wi-Fi facilities enhance the learning process and enable the proper conduct of university-prescribed courses. Branded Personal Computers are installed in two computer labs, all networked to facilitate teaching on small batches, with adequate faculty Menon. All new computers in the lab have a dedicated leased line for internet connectivity and two network printers, which can be used by staff and students.

The college has an auditorium facility for events and seminars. The talent of the students is given a supportive platform through the auditoriums and conference rooms of the SVKM. The SVKM Juhu Jagru Hall, BhaidasMaganlal Sabhagriha, Jashoda Rang Mandir, and Santokba Hall are available to the college for its events at national and international levels.

The college has an Any student registering for placement is expected to be clear about his/her intention of taking part in the placement process. Placements should not be considered as a backup arrangement against any competitive exams/other courses. If students are found guilty of having such a casual approach towards the placement process, strict action, including expulsion from the placement process will be taken by the Training and Placement cell, If a student is pursuing any competitive exam/professional course (CA), students will be allowed to register but the same will be highlighted to the company. The final decision of considering the student for recruitment rests with the company, Any student/s found misbehaving either during online or in-person training and placement activities is liable for disciplinary action and/or expulsion from all training and placement activities.
