Shyam Adarsh Shiksha Mahavidyalaya Rewa, started in 2017, is a young institution in the village area of Puraina, Rewa district, Madhya Pradesh. This institute offers only the teacher education programmes and is recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). With a total student intake of 191, the college offers two full-time coursesB.Ed.Ed and BA B.Ed. However, because of its newness, the institute has been progressing in offering quality education to all the intending teachers in the region.

Shyam Adarsh Shiksha Mahavidyalaya, located in Rewa, Madhya Pradesh, is affiliated with Awadhesh Pratap Singh University (APSU), Rewa.  Shyam Adarsh Shiksha Mahavidyalaya's state-of-the-art facilities are put in place to support the college and help improve the students’ learning. The college’s library has sections that can seat approximately 50 students at a time, and the facility is equipped with an additional reading room. Many skills necessary in a discipline are required for success in a psychology lab, and the equipment used includes all the necessary tests and apparatus. For physical activities and recreation, the college has its own playground and indoor amenities of indoor games like chess, carom, volleyball, football, kho-kho, kabaddi and basketball outdoors. These sports facility structures align with the NCTE norms, an important component of the teacher education curriculum.

Shyam Adarsh Shiksha Mahavidyalaya offers two primary courses: Two courses as a two-year B.Ed programme and a four-year integrated course of BA B.Ed. Both these courses have an approved intake of one hundred students each, and in total, there are two hundred management seats available for all programmes. A number of these full-time courses offer training for teachers, and also theoretical knowledge and practical experience. The choice of college is mainly based on imparting teacher education since the college has a primary responsibility of preparing competent teachers in India.

Shyam Adarsh Shiksha Mahavidyalaya follows the process of merit thatonf the marks a student secured in the prior qualifying examination and/or entrance examination. The college operates under the guidelines set in the admission laws of the state government, as well as those prescribed by its affiliated university.
