Situated on a sprawling 38-acre campus in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, Sri Aurobindo Medical College and Postgraduate Institute has grown into an inspiring seat of learning since its incorporation in 2003 as a constituent college. Its numerous medical programmes include MBBS, MD, MS, DM, and M.Ch courses. SAMC & PGI is accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and approved by the National Medical Commission (NMC). Thus, it is a premier medical education institution that provides students with a favourable environment. With a total student enrolment of 684 and a faculty strength of 321, the institute provides an excellent environment for aspiring medical professionals. The institute offers 34 courses across 5 degrees in various disciplines of medicine.

SAMC & PGI has total 34 programmes offering different specialisations. The number of seats varies depending on the specialities. The flagship MBBS programme has a varying number of seats as per the specialisations offered by the postgraduate and super-speciality courses offered by the institute. General Medicine, Surgery, Pediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynecology have full-time courses offered while a number of full-time super-specialities are Neurology, Gastroenterology, and Surgical Oncology.

Admission at SAMC & PGI is strictly merit-based and in concurrence with national norms. MBBS admissions are conducted via NEET-UG. Postgraduate courses of MD and MS are admitted on the basis of merits generated in NEET-PG. Super-speciality courses, DM and M.Ch require qualification in NEET-SS. Application is invited through centralised counselling conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee.
