Sri Ramanujar Engineering College (SREC) was started in the year 2002 on Kolapakkam in chennai in the state of Tamilnadu. This affiliated college is approved by AICTE, that was established in the year 2009 and offers tremendous amount of engineering and management courses. SREC is located in a campus of 25.5 acres extended infrastructure and is one of the improving engineering colleges in AP having total intake of 820 students and has 104 highly talented and experienced faculties. The college offers 11 courses in three degrees of engineering and management, with specialization in engineering disciplines.

Well-equipped and stocked laboratories, well-organized reference and study resources, an efficient transport system, and ICT facilities are among the facilities well acclaimed by SREC. College library is blessed with good collection of books and other material that is relevant in almost all fields of engineering and related areas. There is a Digital Library Division also which has broadband connections with IIT Library Digital, Springer, and IEEE. The I.T infrastructure on the campus is fully developed with more than 750 computers and 100 printers networked in LAN. Students receive benefits from WiFi connection in certain areas for quick access to the available literature.

It currently provides a range of fully accredited undergraduate and postgraduate degrees. These include Bachelor of Engineering (BE) courses in Computer Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering and Civil Engineering. In addition, B.Tech programs offered by SREC include Information Technology and Artificial Intelligence and Data Science. At postgraduate level, it has ME Computer Science and Engineering, ME Computer Aided Design, ME VLSI, and MBA courses. The total approved intake for these courses is different, the BE in Computer Science and Engineering has the largest intake of 90 seats.

Concerning admission to the college engineering programs the college requires the TNEA counselling test result of this examination the candidates are offered admission in the college basis their performance in the 12th standard board examinations. 

For MBA admissions, the following standard admission test is taken into consideration by the college namely, Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET). SREC is also accepting Common Engineering Entrance Test and Admission (CEETA-PG) for post graduate engineering programmes.
