Sri Sai College of Engineering and Technology (SSCET) was set up in the year 2002, located at Pathankot-Punjab. This college is affiliated with and approved by AICTE and is situated in a broad 10.3-acre area. The college offers various engineering as well as management courses. The total strength of the students at SSCET is 550, and there are 68 members in the faculty to produce better results. 

SSCET boasts about its pluralism of students crackers across the country. In terms of gender distribution, the male students dominate the college with 77%, while the female students constitute only 23%. Notably, 78% of the students enrolled with the institute are non-state students, revealing that the institute is expanding its outreach beyond Punjab. This is because the students come flocking from different cultural backgrounds, which makes the institution have a multicultural perception to offer to students when it comes to the global workplace. The institute currently has 13 courses offered in 4 degree programmes, including engineering, computer applications, and management.

A number of special amenities are present at Sri Sai College of Engineering and Technology that could help support the students and their learning process. The campus has separate hostels for boys and girls and can be termed as comfortable and secure accommodation. The college cafeteria is a busy centre of students’ existence in college, providing students with healthy meals and snacks. For all the encouraging sports buffs, the college has a well-equipped sports complex and indoor facilities such as badminton, table tennis, basketball & volleyball courts, a gymnasium, etc. The college, besides, has a library centre that stores the knowledge needed by the students and an IT facility that keeps the students informed on the next technological trends. Further, the campus is equipped with laboratories, an event and seminar hall, and transport facilities for students residing in nearby areas.

Course offered today: SSCET deploys a vast list of objectives that are meant to address a wide category of academic needs. The institute offers 7 undergrad graduate programmes including the commonly chosen B.Tech courses of Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Civil Stream. For the postgraduate candidates, SSCET provides 6 courses, which include MBA, MCA, and M.Tech courses, for which students can specialise in any fields of their interest. All are full-time, and the total number of students is 374 for all programmes offered at the university. Further, the gender distribution of the college is proportional to the student enrolment, with 60% of the students under UG and 40% of the students under PG.

The admission procedure for SSCET is offline and transparent, along with adhering to the merit quotas. As for the more detailed structure of the entrance exams, it is not clear; though, the college might use the results of different national and state-level B.Tech. engineering entrance tests. Students seeking admissions in postgraduate programmes may have their own admission requirements, although scores in CAT or MAT for MBA and respective entrance examinations for M.Tech programmes may be accepted. SSCET reports a strong financial commitment to students, with 88 percent of the undergraduate and 1 percent of the postgraduate students receiving some form of scholarship/fee waiver in the current academic year, 2022. This tradition extends to the financial material support for student grants, which brings quality education within the reach of many students.
