Sri Siddhartha Institute of Business Management, Tumkur Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The college has an excellent library Well equipped Library, housed in a unique structure Geodesic dome, with a good infrastructure and seating capacity of about 450 members. The college has a rich collection of books with 67764 Volumes, 25282 Titles, 44 International journals, and 118 National journals. Members of J-Gate, DELNET, and IEEE Digital Library which are easily accessible to each aspirant. It has all the Text and Reference Books required by the students. Apart from Text Books, Encyclopedias, Reference Books, and General Books of Education are also kept in the Library. In addition, the Institution subscribes to several Business and Economics Magazines. The library is supported by a Multimedia Center for students to access the Internet. Our Library consists of a Reference section, Reading Room Section, and Journal Section and also has a Computer and Internet Equipped Digital Library.

The college has an auditorium facility for events and seminars. An efficiently laid out and fully loaded seminar hall with a seating capacity of 300 is built on the campus. The Auditorium is AC enabled, Fire Proof, and Equipped with World class Audio-Visual Equipment, video camera, slide projector, OHP, LCD projectors, PA system, ideal lighting, etc, making it a completely updated facility. The hall is regularly used for program launches, placement sessions, meetings, Felicitation functions, Alumni events, workshops, guest lectures, academic presentations, and any other Major department-level events, etc. 

The college has a canteen facility for staff and students. The Canteen Facility is available for both Staff and Students on Campus. The Canteen Provides Hygiene, quality, and fair food. The pricing is most rationalized and the taste, variety, quality, and quantity are all determined by the user demand. 

The college has a well-furnished and equipped, primary health center having a plinth area of 360 sq. mts suited for the campus. Health will have well-experienced and qualified doctors and staff. The facilities available in the health center are a major operation theater, a preliminary testing laboratory, and well-furnished wards in case of emergency. All these facilities are extended to students, staff, and campus inmates. We have called on Doctor's Facility in the Institution.

Several members of staff are trained in First Aid and there are two First Aid rooms – on the lower ground and first floors. If you are involved in an accident or incident, please report this to the General Office staff who will arrange for First Aid to be contacted.

The college is equipped with 200+ Computers spread throughout the campus interconnected through Cable Networks and Wireless Networks between Computer Laboratories, branches, and office wings of the Institution. The Institution in association with the Department of MCA conducts Short-term courses on Computer Basics, Programming Languages, and Fundamentals of the Internet for all PG Students. 

The college provides unlimited access to our extensive aerobics and gym program with classes to suit all tastes and fitness levels. It is not enough if the intellect alone is trained. The college takes to heart the physical well-being of the students. The SIMS gym is well equipped with a multi-gym, a range of free weights, and aerobic equipment. The gym is great for building strength, burning fat, improving general fitness, or for specific sports conditioning. The gym is open to all members of SSIMS. The gym is a proud possession of this college. The students can come here and do various exercises to keep their physique fit. A visit to the gym not only fine-tunes the body but also ventilates the mind. The college gym is maintained by the Department of Physical Education. 

The college campus is equipped with several international-quality sports facilities and fitness centers to promote physical fitness among the students and faculty. Fields for Cricket and Football, Basketball and Volleyball courts, Gymnasium, and facilities for Indoor Games are available. Ample opportunities are provided for the students to take part in all indoor and outdoor sports activities. The Institution has facilities for organizing and playing volleyball, basketball, football, and Cricket. Inter-College tournaments, Inter-Branch matches, and Athletic Meets can be conducted regularly, in all their grandeur of purpose. The sports section has bagged several medallions and trophies in inter-collegiate and university-level sports competitions. Both indoor and outdoor games are provided on Campus.

The College is well connected with Local Transportation from Kunigal and Tumakuru. You can reach the College from Tumakuru City within 10- Minutes. The institution is willing to run its buses to and fro Tumakuru City for its students and staff. These buses cover the width and breadth of the city, extending the facility meaningfully, and saving the precious time of the commuters.

The college has excellent on-campus parking with entrances to the general student and visitor car parks on the right and left of the main access road. Wide and sufficient parking places are provided separately for staff and students with 24 x 7 security with a CCTV surveillance system. Our institute’s open field spacious parking facility can accommodate more than 100 two-wheelers and 25 four-wheelers.

The college has a Syndicate Bank Branch inside the campus for students. A Syndicate bank having a floor area of 250 sq mt is situated at the entrance of the college campus. It provides basic needs for the students, staff, and campus inmates. The facility extended by the bank is ATM and locker facilities beyond its regular facilities.
