SSN College of Engineering Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

SSN College of Engineering provides hostel facilities to its students. The college has a separate hostel for boys which is wifi enabled helping students to get easy access to online educational resources.

There are separate hostels for girls. Each hostel has a separate kitchen, dining hall, library, television and internet facilities. Also, on-campus accommodation is available for faculty and staff members. The university also provides transportation facilities to its faculty.

SSNCE believes that physical health is the most important part of life that should not be neglected. In order to ensure that all students have access to medicines and medical advice in the emergency, a well organized and equipped dispensary is provided to the students. In case of emergency, SSNCE has a van that will be available 24/7 in case of immediate transport to the hospital.

To keep students physically fit, the college has a gym on the main campus. All the gym equipment are modern catering to the physical needs of students.

The central library has a combination of more than 84000 volumes and 2000 titles with an online journal database helping students to meet the information needs. It also fulfils the research requirements of faculty members. SSNCE library is not just restricted to textual resources, it also offers 110 NPTEL videos and 129 web courses in various fields. SSNCE library is open from 8:00 am to 9:00 pm on all working days.

The college has an indoor stadium and playground for outdoor sports. SSNCE sports facilities provide an opportunity for students to be physically active, interact with other students, and learn the importance of teamwork.

The college has a computer centre to fulfil the computational needs of students. Also, internet facilities are available for the students.

SSN College of Engineering has a cafeteria tha caters to the food requirements of the students and serve them tasty food items at reasonable prices.

There are many college events that take place in the auditorium such as guest lectures, symposia, seminars, and debates. SSN College of Engineering has a spacious auditorium that has the capacity of seating more than 1000 people at a time, equipped with multimedia projectors, high-quality sound systems,fully air-conditioned. Also, there is a mini auditorium that can have 300 people at a time.

SSNCE provides transport facilities to the students. It has both pick and drop facilities that connect students from anywhere in Chennai to SSN College of Engineering, Chennai.

The college has a good networking for alumni association.

The Wi-Fi network covers classrooms as well as common areas. This means that students can access online learning materials and resources whether they’re relaxing on the lawns, participating in activities in the auditorium or sports complex, or back in their own hostel room. Our Wi-Fi facility has become an exemplar for other institutions and several delegations have been sent to study our Wi-Fi setup and implementation.
