24 MonthsM.Sc.- Master in Respiratory Therapy is a 2 years Post graduate program designed to provide in depth knowledge in Respiratory therapy. Respiratory therapy is an allied medical speciality concerned with evaluation and treatment of patient with respiratory ailments . The field of Respiratory therapy is growing rapidly. This speciality is intended to train the students to assist the respiratory physicians in performing PFT, Bronchoscopy, Thoracoscopy and other interventional procedures. The students will also be involved in teaching of undergraduate students and in other Research related activities of the Department of Respiratory Medicine. They will also be trained in pulmonary rehabilitation and intensive care management that offer opportunities to the Respiratory therapist.
Eligibility Criteria
- Candidate shall have passed B.Sc. in Respiratory Therapy 3.5 years to 4 years (regular mode) from a UGC recognized University. Medium of Education: English
- Minimum 50% aggregate of marks or CGPA of 5.0 in qualifying examination
- Age: Minimum age limit is 21 years on or before 31st December of year of Admission.
- In case of students from foreign Universities, they should have qualifications recognized as equivalent to an Undergraduate degree.
- Candidates have to fulfill the medical standards required for admission as set out by the admission committee
