St. Philomena’s college of Nursing Bangalore was started in the year 2000 and it is one of the best nursing college in karnataka. Recognised by INC, St. Philomena’s functions as an affiliated college and acts as a centre for various nursing courses. St. Philomena’s College of Nursing, Bangalore, is affiliated with the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS), Karnataka. St. Philomena’s College of Nursing has set up a number of facilities that is intended to facilitate the learning process for the students. The Dr. Sr. Mary Glowrey hostel offers students affordable on-campus accommodation with a visitors’ lounge, study hallôm, prayer hall, and indoor games facilities for students. As a knowledge centre, the college library holds over 5,000 current Medical and Nursing publications, besides books and subscriptions to a host of journals. Students get a privilege to access various internet sources like Medline, Meddlers, RGUHS Helinet, CINHAL and CLINICAL KEY. In this centre, health administration students are able to gain appropriate skills on operational computer systems from the computer laboratory that has 24 systems with internet facilities. Accompanying clinical skills laboratory like the MCH lab offer real life practice to the students before they are exposed clinically. It also has a health centre with first aid, house for transport services for field study and social activities, and sports facilities for students’ balanced student life.
To meet different requirements of student clients, St. Philomena’s College of Nursing has developed comprehensive nursing programmes. Currently the institute offers 5 full-time course, which can also be of graduation as well as post graduation level.
