The Self Finance college situated at Giridih, Jharkhand, which was established in the year of 2008, is Subhash Teachers Training College. This co-educational college affiliated with the state university is established for preparing future educators. This college is spread over an area of 0.6475 acres on its compact campus but has been certified by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). Subhash Teachers Training College, for instance, has the capacity for 200 students and boasts a faculty of 32 members.

Self-Finance College has made several provisions of infrastructural facilities which complement academic work in the college. The basic facilities of centres are as follows: A well-equipped library is in the centre of all these facilities, which contains more than ten thousand volumes of books and study materials. Subhash Teachers Training College offers two full-time courses, both spanning two years: two of them, specifically, are the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) and the Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed). Each programme is supposed to admit 100 students, and therefore, the total number of students in the programme is 200. These courses are meant to prepare the students to become professional teachers in all the stages of the education system.

Subhash Teachers Training College follows a merit system to admit students, referring to the previous exams' performances. The merit list for the B.Ed programme is made with reference to the marks secured in different examinations right from graduation/postgraduation. Special emphasis is laid on the candidates who have played state and national level games or possess an NCC Certificate with a ‘B or ‘C grade. The merit list of the D.El.Ed programme includes marks of examinations as per the +2 level or equivalent level examination.
