Swarnandhra Institute of Engineering and Technology, Narsapur was established in 2007 as an affiliated college. The campus is spread over 10.2 acres, and SIET is approved by AICTE, offering diversified programs in engineering and management. While the total enrolment for students is 900 in the institute.

At the institute's library, there is an abundance of books; it is well-stocked with 2,340 titles and 21,079 volumes, classified according to the Dewey decimal classification scheme. It has a computerised catalog and a digital library with video lectures. SIET has different separate hostels for boys and girls to ensure comfortable living for students from outstation.

 SIET offers a total of 11 courses. And it's including full time B.Tech, M.Tech, MBA, and Diploma programs. The B.Tech programs have the highest receive, with popular courses such as Computer Science and Engineering and Electronics and Communication Engineering offering 120 seats each. Emerging technology courses like B.Tech in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning are also offered in the institute. At the postgraduate level, there are M. Tech programs in various specialisations and an MBA program.

The admission procedure that is followed by SIET is in accordance with the norms of Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Kakinada and the Government of Andra Pradesh. 70% of seats in the B.Tech programme are filled through AP EAMCET counselling, while 30% are management quota. Admissions in M. Tech depend on GATE and AP PGECET scores, similarly, for admissions into the MBA programme, AP ICET is held. It also accepts the score of other entrance exams like GATE for its different programmes.
