Uma Institute of Nursing Sciences, Sangli, was started in the year 2017 and is one of the premier nursing colleges situated in the Maharashtra state of India. Being a co-educational institute, this college is located at Bijapur Road in Jath Taluka, Sangli District, adjacent to Hotel Vrundhavan. This institute has committed to producing professional healthcare-qualified workers. Recognised by INC, Uma Institute functions as an affiliated college for providing various courses in nursing. The campus is a 4-acre setting, which enables an adequate learning environment and practical attachment. 

Uma Institute of Nursing Sciences has several functional and technological amenities to enhance the delivery of education. It is equipped with well-furnished laboratories comprising a standard collection of different instruments. It also has a collection of brand-new reference books and journals, placed in the well-ventilated library. Needed accommodation is offered in a separate hostel for boys and girls, having a 24-hour supply of water and electricity and each room fitted with a bathroom.

Uma Institute of Nursing Sciences presently provides only four nursing courses and these are full-time nursing courses for different levels of nursing. The institute has the following courses in the realm of the academic curriculum: the B.Sc. Nursing four-year course, the GNM courses take three years, and the ANM two-year course.
