University College of Engineering Kariavattom more commonly known as UCEK was set up in the year 2000. Sitting in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, the college occupies about 367.18 acres of land. UCEK being a constituent college is affiliated to All Indian Council for Technical Education (AICTE). UCEK’s niche is attained through focused areas of Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering and Information Technology to meet the industry demands in the technology sector.

University College of Engineering Kariavattom offers a limited number of engineering undergraduate courses. The institute provides three full-time B.Tech courses: Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering and Information Technology. These programmes are meant to provide the students with latest skills in their area of specialisation. The total approved intake in these courses is 252 seats where Computer Science and Engineering has the maximum intake of 120 and Electronics and Communication Engineering and Information Technology has intakes of 66 each. All the courses are four years full time programme  .
