University School of Biotechnology Delhi was established in the year 1999 as a constituent College under Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University. Sited in Dwarka, Delhi in Sectors 16C, this institution is involved in offering and disseminating biotechnology programmes . While rank data is missing, the fact that the school provides focus on biotechnology makes it a player in this emerging important field. The institute offers three programmes: Programmes offered include B.Tech in Biotechnology, M.Tech in Biotechnology, Ph.D in Biotechnology, B.Tech- M.Tech Biotechnology with a focus on the main biotechnology sectors: therapeutic and diagnostic products, agricultural products, chemicals and materials, and energy/environmental products. The B.Tech programme which constitutes the major part of Under graduate programme is of 45 intakes and it proves the calss size management’s concern to prevent the quality of education being compromised by in take of large intakes.
