Valia Koonambaikulathamma College of Engineering and Technology is considered one of the most reputed engineering institutions located in Trivandrum, Kerala state. The College was founded in the year of 2009 and was approved by the All India Council for Technical Education.
Valia Koonambaikulathamma College of Engineering and Technology has a robust technological infrastructure that caters for all the needs of a students’ education. Since the college is affiliated by APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University, it provides six full time BTech programmes which are of four years duration each. These are Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical and Electronics engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering with a cyber security branch.
The college provides facilities that are well equipped and spacious. The facilities include modern hostels for boys and girls to facilitate comfortable stay under the supervision of resident wardens. This health centre is well equipped with professional staff on call, to attend to patients’ needs at any time. In the centre is the library which has thousands of books and tons of national journals, an IT facility and centrally air-conditioned laboratories necessary for the overall progress of the students. Not only this but the college also deals in provision of Scholarships to financially weak candidates, they provide several scholarships via the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) and state departments, including KPCR, E-Grants, Yashaswi, and many more.
As per NIRF 2025 reports VKCET Trivandrum placements cell helped a total number of 52 students at undergraduate level to avail best opportunities at a VKCET Trivandrum median salary package of Rs 3,00,000 as compared to 48 students at Rs 2,50,000 in the year 2022-23. Most of the students seeking admission in VKCET’s B.Tech programs join through the Kerala Engineering Architecture Medical (KEAM) entrance examination scores. For overall first rank, students obtaining full A+ in Plus 2 examinations will be given a full fee waiver scheme and half fees waiver for students excelling in state, CBSE, and ICSE level examinations. VKCET B.Tech Admission Procedure
Seat Allocation for B.Tech programmes is based on government and management quota. Each quota is 50%. Allotment for government quota is handled by the Commissioner of Entrance Examinations (CEE), Kerala.

Register and appear for the KEAM entrance exam. Participate in the centralised allotment process.
