The Vignan's Nirula Institute of Technology and Science for Women is the foremost institution situated in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh. It was established in the year 2008 as an all-women's institution. The campus is spread over 5.25 acres and it imparts various streams of engineering and management. The institute is approved by AICTE and presently runs as affiliated. The total enrolment of students is 1920, and the faculty strength is 140, hence maintaining a very good student-teacher ratio. 

VNITSW has an array of facilities to enhance learning for its students. It is the octagonal-shaped building in the middle, serving as a hub for knowledge with a vast collection of books, journals, and digital resources. The seating capacity is 300 students, and a small, enclaved area exists inside the Institute for research scholars. The infrastructure in this institute concerning IT is strong; moreover, it contains over 100 high-performance computers along with special servers for database clients and LINUX workstations. The campus is well-equipped with advanced laboratories in order to provide practical exposure to students in their related fields. As far as extracurricular activities are concerned, VNITSW provides sports and has a well-furnished and air-conditioned auditorium accommodating 250 seats. A total of 9 courses are provided at the institute, with 6 undergraduate and 3 postgraduate courses. B.Tech includes Computer Science and Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, and Data Science. Under the PG category, the College offers M. Tech in Digital Electronics and Communication Systems and in Computer Science and Engineering as well as MBA. All the courses mentioned above are full-time; B.Tech courses are four-year duration courses, while M.Tech and MBA run for two years. Here, the sanctioned total intake of all courses together is 738 seats. That itself shows ample opportunity for the interested students.

Admission Procedure: Well defined and transparent at VNITSW. It selects 70% at the undergraduate level through AP EAMCET and the remaining 30% under Category-B by the management. This institute also accepts JEE MAIN scores for B. Tech. admissions. Postgraduate admissions are done on the basis of score obtained in Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering or on the basis of rank in AP PGECET. AP ICET is conducted for admission in MBA course.
