Government Law College Vijnaneshwara of Kalaburagi, Karnataka, India was begin in the year of 2009 is one of the most recognised educational institutions providing education for its students in law field. This is a government college, which is situated in the Gulbarga University Campus Martur and the college occupies a total area of 8 acres of land which is suitable for the students. The college is approved by the Bar Council of India (BCI) and it has two niche L.L.B programme for young legal luminaries. Having 8 members in faculties, the institution aims to provide and manage the proper student-teacher ratio so that students can get personal attention as well as quality education.

Vijnaneshwara Government Law College offers two programmes: a five-year integrated course of BA LLB and a three-YEAR LLB course. Both are full time programmes offered on campus and the expectation is that the student will develop a sound theoretical and practical legal knowledge. The programme of BA LLB is suitable for the students who desire to pursue liberal arts along with law as the intake capacity is 120 seats. The 3-year LLB has 60 seats for those who already completed a bachelor’s degree in any field they wanted. Over-all, the college has an intake capacity of one hundred and eighty students for the two programmes and is truly a major influence in the dissemination of legal education in the area.

Again the process of issuing admission is made as fair as possible and within the guidelines of the Bar Council of India and the state government set. It is recommended that certain entrance exams are taken; however, the general criterion is that the candidate has successfully completed his/her prior academic year. For the BA LLB programme , the general eligibility criterion is 10+2 or equivalent examination with a minimum 50% marks For the LLB programme the recruited person should possess a bachelor’s degree from any recognised university with 45% marks For reserved category – 40% marks.
