    About BITSAT 2026

    BITSAT 2026: BITS Pilani has commenced the BITSAT 2026 slot booking for session 1 on March 29, 2026. Aspirants can do the BITSAT 2026 slot booking at bitsadmission.com. Candidates can find the BITSAT 2026 city allotment as well on the official website. Registered candidates can choose the exam date and time from the available slots. After the slot booking, candidates can download the admit card for BITSAT 2026 from April 10, 2026. The authority has also revised the session 1 BITSAT 2026 exam dates as April 15 to 16, 2026, while session 2 is scheduled from May 24 to 26, 2026.

    The BITSAT 2026 registration for session 1 was concluded on March 19, 2026. The BISAT 2026 application link was available on the official website, bitsadmission.com. Applicants are advised to check the BITSAT 2026 eligibility criteria before applying. As per the latest update, candidates who appear for the class 12 for the first time in 2025/2026 are only eligible for the BITSAT 2026 exam. The authority has removed clause (c), which allowed students who retake the 12th class in 2024/2025 to take the exam.

    What is the BITSAT Exam?

    Birla Institute of Technology and Science Admission Test (BITSAT) is a computer-based entrance exam conducted by BITS Pilani for admission to undergraduate engineering programs at its campuses in Pilani, Hyderabad, and Goa. Admission of the BITSAT qualifying candidates is done through the counselling process. The online tests will be conducted at several exam centres in India and the Dubai campus. The BITSAT 2026 exam will have Physics, Chemistry, English Proficiency, logical reasoning, and Mathematics/Biology parts and is of three hours duration. All questions will be multiple-choice questions (objective type) and based on the current NCERT syllabus. Candidates can select the exam centre, and the date and time for the test, at his/her convenience. 

    Qualified candidates will be eligible for the counselling and seat allotment process. The selection of candidates for admission is based on their performance in BITSAT, and those who qualify are called for counselling.     The eligibility criteria for BITSAT 2025 are as follows:

    1. Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, one language and an additional subject.

    2. Minimum marks: Candidates must have scored a minimum aggregate of 75% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology subjects in 10+2 or equivalent examinations. For candidates who have taken Mathematics as a subject, Physics and Chemistry are compulsory subjects, and the third subject can be either Biology or Biotechnology or Computer Science or an additional subject.

    3. Age limit: There is no age limit for appearing in BITSAT 2025, the candidates who are appearing in or have passed their 10+2 are eligible to sit in the exam.

    B.Pharma

    Candidates applying to B.Pharm courses must meet the following eligibility criteria, only then will they be considered for admission:

    Qualifying Exam: The candidate must have passed 10+2 from a recognized Central or State board with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as compulsory subjects. Candidates having Mathematics in class 12 can also apply for B.Pharm program.  Adequate proficiency in English is also required.

    Minimum Marks in Qualifying Examination: The candidate should have scored minimum 75% marks in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Additionally, the candidate must have scored minimum 60% in each paper. 

    Age limit: No age limit has been specified as such, but only those candidates who are appearing in or have passed their 10+2 are eligible to sit in the exam.

    M.Sc.

    Candidates applying to integrated M.Sc programmes need to meet the following eligibility criteria:

    Qualifying Exam: The candidate must have passed 10+2 from a recognized institute with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and possess adequate proficiency in English. Additionally, candidates appearing for 10+2 in 2021 are also eligible.

    Minimum Marks in Qualifying Examination: The candidate must score at least 75% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics taken together. The candidate must also score minimum 60% in each paper. 

    Age limit: No age limit has been specified as such, but only those candidates who are appearing in or have passed their 10+2 are eligible to sit in the exam.

    The authority will begin the Session 1 BITSAT 2026 application process from the third week of January 2026.     BITSAT Exam Day Guidelines

    Candidates must follow the exam day guidelines while appearing in the BITSAT 2026 examination.

    • Candidates are required to carry a BITSAT Admit Card and one photo ID proof at the exam centre.

    • Candidates must not carry any prohibited items like mobiles, digital calculators, pagers, rough sheets, etc to the examination hall.

    BITS Pilani will announce the BITSAT 2026 result for session 1 tentatively in June 2026. Candidates can check the results of BITSAT 2026 on the official website. To download the BITSAT scorecard, candidates need their application number and password.

    The merit lists will be released separately for different courses – one for M.Sc. and B.Tech courses, and the other for B.Pharm.

    How to check the BITSAT result 2026?

    • Visit the BITSAT official website.

    • Click on the submit button.

    • BITSAT result/scorecard will appear on the screen.

    The cutoff of BITSAT 2026 will be the minimum score that a candidate has to obtain to be eligible for admission at any of the BITS campuses. Candidates, in order to have a good chance of admission, will have to score at least equal to or more than the BITSAT cutoff 2026. Authorities will consider details like the number of available seats, applications received for admission, and scores of candidates to prepare for the cutoff of BITSAT. 

    The BITSAT 2026 cutoff will be released separately for different BITS institutes and courses. The cutoff of BITSAT will be released for each iteration or seat allotment round. Candidates must also note that each cutoff list will have two parts – a simple round-specific cutoff and a wait-list cutoff.

    The seat allotment of BITSAT 2026 is released in the form of Iteration rounds. After each Iteration round, the admission and wait list are published for the benefit of the candidate. Registered candidates can attend the BITSAT 2026 counselling in online mode.
