MIT WPU Pune History
The journey of MIT World Peace University began in the early 1980s when the idea of the institute was first conceived. Between 1981 and 1983, the foundation was laid, and in 1983, the institute started its first batch in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering under the MAEER’s MIT Group of Institutions.
From 1996 to 2003, the institute gained international recognition by establishing a UNESCO Chair, hosting global academic events, and promoting the message of education and peace.
Between 2004 and 2014, MIT expanded its academic programmes, launched leadership platforms like the Bharatiya Chhatra Sansad, and encouraged women’s participation and holistic education.
During 2015 to 2019, the institute continued to grow, introduced the iconic World Peace Dome at Loni Kalbhor, and officially became MIT World Peace University.

College infrastructure is best as it is the oldest university in Maharashtra. It was build for world class education and campus is designed as per the modern requirement like smart classroom, labs, library and sports facilities.
