The AMU Aligarh has a training and placement cell that helps the students throughout the process of placement and enhances their skills before they appear before recruiters. The AMU placement cell aims to guide the overall development of the students/job seekers. According to NIRF data 2024, 1614 students have secured placements during the year 2022-2023 at AMU Aligarh.
A total of 301 students from the UG 3-year programme were placed in the year 2022-2023 from AMU Aligarh with a median salary of Rs 5.65 LPA. There were 60 students placed from the PG 1-year programme in the year 2022-23 with an AMU median salary of Rs. 5.10 LPA. In the year 2022-23, a total of 200 students were placed in the PG 3-year programme with an AMU Average salary of Rs.14.50 LPA.
The objective of the AMU placement cell is to make the students aware of the job opportunities and help them get placed. Students placement ratio in my batch was 80-85%. The highest package was of 7 lacks per annum which were offered by Asian paint, while the minimum was 2 lacks per annum & the average was 2.5 lacks per annum. The companies which visited the college were (Asian paints, India mart, ICICI, HDFC bank, HGS, HCL, British Airways, Cease-fire, EFS facility services, EES, Sidqam technologies Pvt. Ltd.. The roles commonly offered was ( sales executive, relationship manager, marketing associate, management trainee, business development, HR, finance associate, etc.) & internships provided by the college was about 75%. The maximum stipend was Rs. 20000 per month & the average was Rs. 2000 per month.

As per your question, external student is someone who completes the course without attending the lectures physically. Internal student are someone who attends the classes physically.
If you have passed BA externally, then you won't be getting the certificate as internal student.
