The University provides a Boy's hostel on the University campus that provides state-of-the-art infrastructure along with hygienic mess facilities. The university has one Boys’ Hostel on its main campus. The capacity of each hostel is 240. Given the increasing demand of the students for hostel accommodation, it is against limited hostel seats, admission to a full-time program of study at the University would not ensure allotment of hostel accommodation.

The university has two hostels One Girls’ Hostel on its main campus. The capacity of each hostel is 240. The University Central Library plays a vital role in furthering the academic and research mission of the Central University of Orissa and facilitates the creation and dissemination of knowledge. The range and quality of services the library offers are comparable to any modern library in India of International standards. Soon after the formal appearance of the Central Library in the year 2009, primary emphasis was given to a good collection development on Text Books and Reference Books. Besides holding an excellent print collection of over 29272 volumes of books, it also provides access to popular magazines, selected journals, theses, reports, e-books, e-journals, and online databases in Sciences, Humanities, and Social Sciences. With the guidance of the present dynamic Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Sachidananda Mohanty, the library is marching towards its goal by taking some good initiatives like providing a fully air-conditioning facility in the library, e-resource zone as well as a Computer Centre, a separate server for the library operation, a good collection of documents, Talking library (for visually impaired students), Remote access facility to our e-resources, and providing sufficient computers in the library for accessing OPAC and e-resources, develop a property counter with security and CCTV cameras for proper surveillance of the library. The Central Library achieved phenomenal progress by participating in the UGC-Infonet Digital Library Consortium (presently E-ShodhSindhu) and at present CEO is getting 8500+ e-Journals (full text as well as bibliographical databases) which are available "24 x 7" on both the campuses of CUO which are accessible to our users in-house as well as remotely. Total space available (in sq. feet) - 2500 Space for reading room facility (in sq. feet) - 800 Total Books - 29272 Total number Print Journals subscribed - 100 Total number e-journals subscribed - 8500+ (through UGC Infonet DL Consortium) Total No. of Newspapers Subscribed-16.

The University laboratory facility includes a PCR machine, Gel electrophoresis, High-Speed Refrigerated Centrifuges, Spectrophotometer, Gel Documentation System, Chlorophyll Fluorescent Metre, Infra-red Gas Analyser, etc. The Remote Sensing Laboratory has the ERDAS Imagine Software and Arc Imagine Software facility.

The University has made arrangements for net connectivity through BSNL broadband services. About 30 terminals/portals into service of the residents and teachers. This service would enhance the interactive, communicative, and knowledge addition at the Central University of Orissa. The University has arrangements for Internet connectivity through BSNL BroadBand services for faculty, researchers, students, and staff.

The University has a newly constructed Guest House on the University campus that provides state-of-the-art infrastructure. It is (G+3) of 2,957 sq. more. (Plinth area) having 32 rooms and 08 suits with lift provision. It is located in Sylvan surroundings and has a banquet hall, a conference hall, a lobby, a dining hall, and rooms of different categories.

The Campuses of the University (Main Campus at Sunabeda and City Centre at Landiguda) have Wi-Fi enabled (MHRD Campus Wi-Fi Project).

The University has a canteen facility available at both campuses to serve the students and Staff during working hours.

The University is having a dispensary at both campuses with required medicines. The University has appointed a Doctor (part-time) to maintain the dispensary and provide medical services to the students and the staff during working hours. Ambulance service is available on campus for medical emergencies only.

The University has a transport facility for students and staff.

The University has sports facilities for all students.

The Motive of the placement cell is to act as a facilitator to arrange campus visits and coordinate the recruitment process of the prospective employers of graduating students of the college.
