IIIT Ranchi offers various scholarships through state and central government schemes. Pursuing a technology and engineering course degree can be quite expensive. IIIT Ranchi scholarship schemes are introduced to provide financial support to meritorious students and backward-category students in pursuing their academic studies. IIIT Ranchi Scholarships are a way of encouraging students to work hard and make their dreams come true by performing well in their academic studies. Students of IIIT Ranchi can avail of scholarships based on merit as well as category. Students belonging to SC/ST/OBC can avail of certain benefits through scholarships. General students can also apply for scholarships based on their academic performance. The details of the IIIT Ranchi scholarships are given below in detail.
- Students can avail of central and state scholarship schemes based on the category they belong to and their academic performance. They can also apply for Public Sector Unit (PSU) scholarships apart from the central and state scholarships.
- Central Sector Scholarship: Students can avail of various central scholarship schemes through the Ministry of Minority Affairs, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Ministry of Labor and Employment, Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Department of Higher Education, and more. Students from the various categories could avail of these scholarship schemes if they met the criteria that their annual family income must not be above INR 4.5 lakhs. IIIT Ranchi M.Tech Admission Process
Candidates are required to fill out the application form available on the official website of IIIT Ranchi. A sum of Rs 1000 (Rs 500 for SC/ST/PWD/Women candidates) is to be paid as an application fee.
The application form along with self-attested documents are required to be sent by speed/registered post to the institute. Also, the same is to be sent in a single PDF via email.
Shortlisted candidates will further participate in the selection process based on their preferred mode.
For GATE candidates: The IIIT Ranchi M.Tech selection process involves qualifying for GATE. Based on GATE, the Candidate is required to clear the cutoff prescribed by the institute and shortlisted candidates are called for a written test and an interview.
For non-GATE candidates and sponsored candidates: Admission to the IIIT Ranchi M.Tech course will only be made based on performance in written tests and/or interviews.

There are two formats of IIIT Ph.D courses namely full-time and part-time (for sponsored candidates). The full-time Ph.D course is for GATE, non-GATE and sponsored candidates. The minimum duration of the IIIT Ranchi Ph.D programme (excluding dropped semester(s)/maternity leave) is 3 years (36 months) from the date of joining.
