24 MonthsMaster of Technology in Computer Science and Engineering is two years (4 Semester) full-time postgraduate engineering program offered by Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur.
Eligibility Criteria
- A bachelor's degree in engineering or science (4 year programme) or a master's degree in science with marks/CPI not below the specified minimum.
- A valid GATE score is required for admission to the M.Tech. programme in the case of regular (non-sponsored) candidates. The requirement of GATE score is waived off for the candidates with the B.Tech/B.S (Four Year) degree from IITs with a minimum overall CPI of 6.5 and a minimum CPI of 8.0 in the last two years in B.Tech/B.S (Four Year).
Admission Details
Through Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE). The examination is usually announced in the month of August and held in February across the country. Sponsored candidates from the industries as well as research organizations with appropriate experience need not have qualified GATE.

College Infrastructure
The infrastructure here at IIT Kanpur is really good and well maintained. The basic facilities like library, classrooms, lecture halls are high tech and really advanced. Even the new hostels are really cool and good.
Overall my experience at IIT Kanpur was really good.

My college infrastructure was really good. It had all the facilities and equipment. All classrooms were equipped with a projector for a PowerPoint presentation along with the whiteboard. The library had lots of books too.

The college's infrastructure is excellent; we have AC classrooms and smart rooms. There are CCTVs and many security guards for the security of students and staff. Wi-Fi is available on all floors, and there are around 3-5 Wi-Fi's you can connect to.
