JIPMER Puducherry Admission 2026: Dates, Fees, Eligibility, Cutoff & Application Form

Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research Puducherry provides admission to undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes. Before applying for JIPMER admissions the candidates should appear for the relevant entrance test such as NEET/INI CET. Admission to the MBBS, B.Sc, and B.Optom courses offered by JIPMER Puducherry requires scores of NEET UG. 

Candidates are required to take entrance tests for PG courses like M.Sc, PGD, and MPH conducted by JIPMER. For JIPMER courses like MS/ MDS/ MD/ DM/ M.Ch, candidates must take INI CET. Candidates are required to register at the portal of Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research. After registration, candidates can use the following portal (jipmer.edu.in/user/login) for JIPMER student login. After logging in, candidates can see the application form, pending fees, results and other academic details.

JIPMER Puducherry UG Eligibility Criteria and Seat Intake

JIPMER MBBS Admission Process

• For JIPMER Puducherry MBBS  admissions, candidates need to meet the eligibility criteria.

• Then, eligible candidates need to appear for NEET UG and obtain a valid score. 

• Next, the selected candidate must fill out the JIPMER Puducherry application form and participate in the counselling process conducted by the Medical Council of India.

• The JIPMER cutoff is released after the counselling process.

• Further, the candidates who are selected for JIPMER admissions are allotted seats based on their scores in the NEET.

• To complete the JIPMER Puducherry admission process the candidates should submit the required documents along with the payment of admission fee.

JIPMER Admission Process: B.Sc/ B.Optom/BASLP

• To get admission into the JIPMER Puducherry UG courses, candidates need to meet the required eligibility criteria.

• Next, candidates have to qualify for the entrance test- NEET UG.

• After the registration, notified candidates are required to appear for counselling at the venue.

• The seats will be allotted to candidates based on their choice, merit, and seat availability. 

• Final JIPMER admission is confirmed only after the verification of documents and admission fee payment.

JIPMER PG Eligibility Criteria and Seat Intake

JIPMER PG Admission Process: M.Sc, PGD, MPH

• Candidates after meeting the JIPMER eligibility criteria for PG courses should fill out the registration form.

• After paying the application form fee, candidates must take the entrance test in the selected test centre.

• After qualifying for the entrance test, a merit list will be prepared based on the entrance test scores.

• Candidates should apply for counselling and select the desired course and specialisation.

• After the seat allotment, candidates should get their documents verified and pay the fee to confirm JIPMER admission.

JIPMER Admission Process: MS/ MDS/ MD

• Candidates are required to register for the Institute of National Importance Combined Entrance Test (INI CET).

• After paying the application fee of Rs 4,000 (Rs 3,200 for SC/ST/ and EWS), candidates should take INI CET and secure a valid score.

• Qualified candidates must participate in the seat allocation process.

• Candidates will be shortlisted for JIPMER admission based on the scores obtained in the entrance examination. 

• To confirm admission, candidates should get their documents verified and pay the JIPMER fee.

The mark for the JIPMER Ph.D entrance test is 70 and the Viva voice examination is for 30 marks.

JIPMER Puducherry Doctoral Eligibility Criteria and Seat Intake

JIPMER Ph.D Admission Process

• Candidates should fill out the JIPMER Ph.D application form available on the official website.

• The selection for the Ph.D course is based on the written test and viva-voice examination. Candidates who score more than 50% on the entrance test will qualify for the viva-voice examination. 

• A merit list is generated for the qualified candidates and they must get their documents verified.

• JIPMER admission is confirmed only after the successful completion of document verification and fee payment.

JIPMER Puducherry Admission Process: DM, M.Ch

• Candidates are required to register for the Institute of National Importance Combined Entrance Test (INI CET).

• After paying the application fee, candidates should take INI CET and secure a valid score.

• Qualified candidates must participate in the seat allocation process. To confirm JIPMER PG Admission, candidates should get their documents verified and pay the fee.

Candidates are required to use the NEET UG registration portal to attend JIPMER Puducherry counselling at all India basis level. For JIPMER INICET counselling, candidates must visit the following website link: inicounselling.aiimsexams.edu.in. The INICET counselling is conducted by AIIMS Delhi. Counselling for other JIPMER courses is notified on the official website of JIPMER.

Candidates must visit the official website of Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research to check JIPMER results. The results are uploaded in a PDF format with names and ranks. To check results and other details, candidates must log in to the JIPMER student portal using the username and password.
