The university offers National Law University Nagpur UG admissions in 3 programmes. Candidates need to sit for CLAT, followed by counselling for MNLU Nagpur UG admissions.

National Law University Nagpur UG Admission Process

• Students are required to meet the NLU Nagpur eligibility criteria to apply for the MNLU Nagpur courses.

• Eligible candidates need to fill out the CLAT application form.

• Appear and obtain valid scores in CLAT.

• The consortium announces the CLAT result in an online mode and the same can be checked by candidates by visiting the official website of CLAT and logging in using the registration/application number.

• Candidates who meet MNLU Nagpur Cutoff need to participate in CLAT counselling.

• Students need to choose National Law University, Nagpur as their preferred college for admissions.

• The seat is allotted to a candidate based on scores obtained in CLAT and preferences. 

• Admission is offered to students based on CLAT UG, counselling, seat allotment, document verification and payment of fees.

The university offers LLM for MNLU Nagpur PG admissions. The total seat intake for LLM at MNLU Nagpur is 60. Candidates need to sit for CLAT PG followed by counselling for National Law University PG admissions.

The university offers MNLU Nagpur admissions in about 18 distance diploma programmes. MNLU Nagpur PGD programmes include PG Diploma in Media Law, PG Diploma in Insolvency and Bankruptcy Law, PG Diploma in Telecommunication Laws, PG Diploma in International Trade Law and many others. The duration of the courses is one year.

The university provides MNLU Nagpur PhD admissions in PhD Law. The duration of the doctoral programme is 6 years.

MNLU Nagpur Ph.D Eligibility Criteria

MNLU Nagpur Ph.D Admission Process

• First, aspirants must meet the eligibility criteria for National Law University Ph.D admission.

• Candidates seeking Ph.D admissions should appear for an All India Entrance Test (AIET).

• Students who have qualified UGC NET, JRF, CSIR, SLET, GATE, M.Phil., a judge who has served for a minimum of three years as a Judge of the High Court in India or Judge of the Supreme Court of India are exempted from the entrance test.

• AIET qualifying marks 55% for the general category candidates and 50% for the candidates from other categories, i.e., SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer) and specially-abled persons.

• All the candidates who have qualified for AIET and those who are exempt need to attend an interaction with the Research Committee on their preliminary proposal of research.

• Candidates are required to submit a preliminary proposal (both in soft and hard copy) of research not exceeding 1500 words indicating the hypothesis, statement of the problem, research outlines, set of research questions, proposed research methodology, survey of literature and expected outcomes of the research. 

• Shortlisted candidates based on preliminary proposals called for interaction with the Research Committee. 

• Students who successfully interact with the Research Committee on the preliminary proposals shall be admitted provisionally to Ph.D. Law at National Law University, Nagpur. 

• Final admission is offered based on the All India Entrance Test, interaction with the Research Committee on pre-proposal, course work, and presentation of the final research proposal before the Research Committee.
