Potti Sreeramulu Telugu University is state university situated in Hyderabad, Telangana and was established in the year 1985. This is a co-educational institution directly involved in the advancement of Telugu language literature, and culture. Situated over 207 acres, the university has laid its foundation with 68 courses streamlined into 9 degree programs with specialization in Telugu studies, performing and visual arts and culture studies. 

This University is NAAC accredited and UGC approved university has a total enrolment capacity of 1965 students and 12 Faculty members. One can particularly note that it offers distinct programmes in traditional arts, languages and cultures.

This institution has many facilities to facilitate the vital academic and cultural missions of the university. Central library, containing nearly one lakh book and is well equipped with microfilms of Telugu dailies and some manuscripts. Computerized services are provided by it and has processed nearly 14000 old and scarce books through digitalization. 

These include the separate hostels for boys and girls where modern requirements have been met in the construction and arrangement. And for culture and academic celebrations, there is an auditorium with 250 students’ seating place. Other infrastructural amenities are; volleyball, badminton and basketball courts and a cricket pitch. This university has developed the provision of Wi-Fi in the university compound, a health facility, and a canteen for both students and staff.

This University provides a various course such as full time, part time, and diploma course. Course clusters at the university range from Applied Linguistics, Folk Arts, Yoga, Visual Arts, Journalism and Mass Communication, Kuchipudi and Andhra Natyam-dance forms.
