Sri Satya Sai University of Technology and Medical Sciences, Sehore Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The University has a boys’ hostel facility which provides good hostel accommodation for the students. For resident students, a boys’ hostel is available on campus. Each Hostel is self-contained with amenities such as a reading room, an indoor games room, a lounge and a dining hall with a mess, a computer room, and a TV in the common room. The Board for Hostel Management coordinates the various hostel activities. At present, the Boys Hostel has the capacity of accommodating 252 students. The mess of both Hostels is run on a cooperative basis. The provision of separate rooms with air-conditioners is available. For the working of hostels, representatives from the hostels take decisions on all policies of common interest.

The University has a girls' hostel facility which provides good hostel accommodation for the students. For resident students, a girls’ hostel is available on campus. Each Hostel is self-contained with amenities such as a reading room, an indoor games room, a lounge and a dining hall with a mess, a computer room, and a TV in the common room. The Board for Hostel Management coordinates the various hostel activities. At present, Girls Hostel has a capacity of 100 girls. The mess of both Hostels is run on a cooperative basis. The provision of separate rooms with air-conditioners is available. For the working of hostels, representatives from the hostels take decisions on all policies of common interest.

The University has a library facility for all students. All constituent Institutes have their library having an extensive range of Reference books, textbooks, and International & national journals. All libraries are digital with a large number of e-journal subscriptions for the benefit of students. A vast Central Library is under construction to provide facilities for intra-disciplinary interaction.

The University has a departmental-based laboratories facility for the students. All laboratories are as per specification, ventilated, well-lit & have all safety measures installed. Equipment available in Laboratories is functional with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) pasted in front to assist students in proper operations.

The university has an excellent IT Infrastructure facility for the students.

The University has a fleet of twenty-five luxurious buses for students and staff. The bus facilities are optional. The college bus facilities are available from every corner of Bhopal as well as from Sehore and nearby interiors of Sehore, including Ashta, and Icchawar.

The University has a full-fledged branch of Punjab National Bank and its ATM on the college premises. It is a Nationalized Bank that has given all kinds of transactional facilities to students and staff. The bank also provides zero balance accounts to students, helps them in procuring Education loans,s and promotes their student's friendly schemes.

The University has a Guest House available for visitors of the University as well as parents of Hostel residents. For availing of the benefits, permission is granted by Warden.

The University has an annual function for cultural, sports & literary activities organized to encourage interaction between various colleges and to promote competition of high standards. The main aim of these extra-curricular activities is to promote the holistic growth and development of a student’s personality. They also get an opportunity to explore and discover their potential. By participating in various activities, the students can develop skills to organize and create new forms of activities. They develop skills for effective oral and written communication. Those students who actively participate in the activities are given various medals, certificates, awards, and prizes in recognition of their talent, significant contribution, and organizational skills. The Institute lays considerable emphasis on student participation in various outdoor and indoor games. The students participate in games and sports competitions which include athletics (men and women), badminton (men and women), Volleyball (men and women), cricket, Table Tennis (Men and Women), Chess, and Carom. With participation in these activities, students are benefited in terms of Personality Development too. Workshops, as well as competitive events, are organized from time to time to enable students to pursue their interests and sharpen their skills.

The University has a health center with a first aid facility for the students. All facilities are provided locally or through Bhopal Medical Centre located at M.P. Nagar, Zone-I, Bhopal. First aid kits are available in all Colleges, Hostels, and Buses for primary treatment.
