AKITS was founded in 2006 and is situated in Vepalagadda, Kothagudem, Bhadradri, Telangana. All its affiliated college is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and it provides a wide streams of engineering and management courses. Sited on a 10.38 activities acres, this college has an overall enrolment capacity of 645 students and had employed 187 faculty members. The institute offers 17 courses in four degree programmes in Engineering disciplines and Management.

AKITS has built ultra-morden facilities in order to support the learning process of students at the facility. The institute provides well-equipped laboratories for each department and special educator’s Language Laboratory for enhancing the communication skill of the students. Central Library is a treasure house of information resource; consisting of more than 32130 books including National and International Journals and E-library. In turn to meet the accommodation needs of the students, the college has apart from common accommodation for boys and girls, voluntary controlled accommodation for boys and girls which are supervised by wardens and matrons respectively. The campus also has a large hall for conducting meetings or conferences, eating hall or canteen, and athletic courts for indoor and outdoor games. Facilities of wireless internet connection and IT support the student’s learning requirement of digital learning.

The institute provides almost all type of courses and are B.Tech courses in Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering Mechanical Engineering, Mining Engineering, Civil Engineering and Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. In the postgraduate level AKITS offers M.Tech courses in Electrical Power Systems and Thermal Engineering and MBA course.

At present, the admission of students at AKITS largely relies on competitive examinations. TS EAMCET scores are accepted for B.Tech programmes. Admission to MCA programmes is granted based on scores of ICET. For admission to MBA programmes, TSICET – Telangana Integrated Common Entrance Test is conducted. These examinations are normally conducted in May and July, respectively, and the results are released early enough afterward. This institution known as AKITS has a clear vision of offering quality education and ensures that their students are produced with marketability in the job market field.
