Bidhan Chandra College, Asansol Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The college has Grants Commission special funding of rupees One Crore made on the occasion of the International Year for Women we have planned a huge multi-facility Golden Jubilee Women Hostel inside the college campus. The foundation stone was laid by Professor Sudarsan Ray Choudhuri, Minister of Higher Education, the Government of West Bengal.

The College Library facility for all students.

The College's lush green outfield at the heart of the main campus is one of our most proud possessions. It is the practice ground for our students who regularly win trophies and prizes in inter-college sports organized by the University. The annual sports meet of the college is hosted on this very ground and it is also used for students gathering during our annual cultural festival. We also have on our campus a state-of-the-art gymnasium known as Chandrasekhar Azad Multi-Gym. It was created out of the Central Government Grant and has been a center for regular physical exercise for the students and staff under the observant eye of a paid instructor, absolutely free of cost. The gymnasium opens twice a day in the morning and evening except for Sundays and holidays.

The college has a computer lab with 2 Mbps internet bandwidth for the students.

The College's large canteen located on the ground floor of the college just on the right side of the annexed building is known as the Gluttons Den. Here healthy tiffins and tea are served to all at subsidized rates during the academic session, except on the days of university examinations and holidays. With separate sitting arrangements for forty students and ten staff at a time, it is also used by us as a banquet hall on the occasion of any official feast

The college has an auditorium facility for events and seminars.

The college has good networking for the alumni association.

The college also has on our campus a state-of-the-art gymnasium known as Chandrasekhar Azad Multi-Gym.

The College has Very recently we have started developing a language laboratory for soft-skill training of both our students and staff who have the English language in their curriculum and who also need to learn it for professional reasons.

The college has a Wi-Fi facility for students and staff.

The College has Close to the main entrance of the college, we have been developing a building complex out of the MLA-LAD grant, the ground floor of which is designed to accommodate sufficient numbers of two-wheelers and automobiles. Till the completion of this project, the vehicles shall be parked as usual in the old parking place facing the entrance of the main building. The office staff is deputed to look after the vehicles parked there.

The college has guest house/waiting room facilities for visiting faculty and student family members.

The college has a workshop facility for all students.
