Dr Mahalingam College of Engineering and Technology, Pollachi offers admissions into UG, PG and doctoral programmes. MCET Pollachi admissions are offered for B.E/B.Tech, M.E/M/Tech, MCA and Ph.D courses. Candidates applying for admission are required to meet the eligibility criteria and follow the stepwise MCET Pollachi admission process.

MCET Pollachi B.E/B.Tech admission is based on the TNEA counselling process whereas MCET Pollachi PG admissions are given based on TANCET scores. Admission to PhD courses MCET Pollachi is given based on the entrance exam conducted by the college.

BE Computer Science and Engineering, BE Electronics and Communication Engineering, B.Tech Information Technology and many others are offered for MCET Pollachi UG admission. Candidates with B.E./B.Tech. Degrees obtained through Distance / Weekend mode Programmes are not eligible. Candidates with Degrees obtained without studying 10th Std., 12th Std. or 3 years Diploma and 3/4/5 years degree programme are not eligible.

MCET Pollachi BE/BTech Admission Process 2025

• Online applications are accepted from the students who meet the  MCET Pollachi admission requirements. 

• Candidates applying for the courses are required to meet the eligibilty criteria and appear for TNEA counselling process. 

• The TNEA will publish the college details and instructions to candidates in the MCET Pollachi admission website. 

• The Directorate of Technical Education (DOTE), Chennai, will collect the details of the MCET Pollachi Seats from the college, based on 65% for Government Quota and 35% for Management Quota, as per norms.

• TNEA is issuing allotment orders to the candidates of the selected colleges.

• Based on the allotment order, candidates are admitted to the college.

• After verification of all original certificates, the DOTE office will issue the approval order for the MCET Pollachi admission of the students to the institution.

ME/MTech with specialisations and MCA are the two different PG programmes that are offered for MCET Pollachi admissions. The Secretary, of Tamil Nadu Common Admission, Anna University, Chennai will call for college details for the preparation of the Admission booklet and updation of the admission Website of Anna University, Chennai. Candidates admitted through Lateral Entry in degree courses are not eligible except for M.C.A. degree courses.

MCET Pollachi ME/MTech Admission Process 2025

• Applicants should meet the MCET Pollachi selection criteria before applying.

• The TANCA will publish the college details and instructions to candidates in the university website.

• A minimum of 35% for Government Quota or 100% for Management Quota to ME, as per norms, and the DOTE will inform these details to The Secretary, Tamil Nadu Common Admission, Anna University, Chennai.

• After applying by the candidates, the certificates are scrutinised by TANCA.

• TANCET scores are taken into consideration. 

• If applicable applicants should appear for the entrance exam conducted by the college. 

• Based on the Random Number, the candidates are called for TANCA Counselling.

• The Secretary, of Tamil Nadu Common admission (TANCA) Anna University, Chennai, will fix the date for MCET Pollachi counselling and the counselling schedule will be announced.

• In the TANCA counselling, the candidates are selecting courses and colleges of their choice.

• Based on the allotment order of MCET Pollachi seats, candidates are admitted to the college.

• At the time of MCET Pollachi admission, all original certificates are collected at the college and these are submitted to the Director of Technical Education office (DOTE), Chennai for verification.

• After verification of all original certificates, the DOTE (Director of Technical Education) office will issue the approval order for the MCET Pollachi admission of the students to the institution.

MCET Pollachi MCA Admission Process 2025

• Students who meet the MCET Pollachi eligibility criteria should submit the application forms. 

• Based on 50% of the Government Quota and 50% of the Management Quota, MCA is considered for MCET Pollachi admissions. 

• Students with TANCET scores are given preference. 

• After applying by the candidates, the application will be scrutinised by the Consortium and issued the hall ticket to the candidates.

• The MCET Pollachi exam is conducted and Results are published by the Consortium.

• Candidates are admitted to the college based on the Entrance Mark.

• At the time of MCET Pollachi admission, all original certificates are collected at the college and these are submitted to the Director of Technical Education office (DOTE), Chennai for verification.

• After verification of all original certificates, the DOTE office will issue the approval order for the MCET Pollachi admission of the students to the institution.

PhD in Information Technology, PhD in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, PhD in Electronics and Communication Engineering, PhD Computer Science and Engineering, PhD in Mechanical Engineering some are of the programmes that are offered for MCET Pollachi admissions. Applicants should have a master's degree from a recognised university in a relevant stream.

• Contenders are whittled down to limited lists. 

• Shortlisted merit students should appear for the entrance exam conducted by the college. 

• Contingent on the merit scores, students are shortlisted. 

• According to the MCET Pollachi merit list, applicants should appear for the MCET Pollachi interview process. 

• To streamline the selection process, applicants are allotted MCET Pollachi seats during the MCET Pollachi counselling process.
