Hello,

No you cannot join the Government Medical College and Hospital, Balasore in class 11th. You first have to complete your 10+2 level and then give NEET exam then after getting the required cut off you will be eligible for admissions in Government Medical College and Hospital, Balasore. Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (M.B.B.S.) is a 5.5 years full-time course, which includes 4.5 years of curriculum plus 1 year of rotating internship. Affiliated to Fakir Mohan University, Balasore and approved by MCI. Admissions in MBBS course will be done through National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG). You will be eligible for NEET only when you are in your 10+2 level.

According to the admission brochure available at: http://blsmch.nic.in/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/MBBS-Admission-Brochure-2020-21.pdf, there will be a medical examination report generated with findings in various aspects. They are:

  • Weight
  • Height
  • Personal marks of Identification
  • Vitals like Heart rate, Blood pressure, TMP, RR
  • General Examination
  • Cardiovascular system
  • Respiratory system
  • Central Nervous System
  • Gastro-Intestinal system
  • Vision
  • Hearing
  • Genitourinary system
  • Locomotor system
  • Other observations like disabilities, etc.

The observations will be noted by a General Physician, General Surgeon and OBG/GYN for female Candidates. The observations will be mentioned in the medical examination report. You also need to affix your recent colour passport size photograph on the report for Identification. And if you have claimed any PWD reservation, it is evaluated as well to determine the authenticity of the claim.
