Academics
The academic curriculum is well-structured, with a wide range of electives and interdisciplinary options like AI, Data Science, and even arts-based minors under NEP 2020. The CBCS system gives flexibility to choose subjects.Most of the faculty members are qualified (M.Tech/PhD) and approachable, but the teaching quality depends on the department. In CSE, many professors explain well with practical exposure, but in a few other branches, teaching is too theory-based or PowerPoint-dependent.
College Infra
GITAM University has impressive infrastructure with smart classrooms, modern and well-maintained laboratories, a digital library, high-speed Wi-Fi across campus, and good hostel facilities. The campus is spacious, clean, and green with well-equipped sports grounds, canteens, and medical facilities. However, it is located far from the main city.
Campus Life
Campus life at GITAM Hyderabad is really good. The college hosts many fests, events, and tech competitions throughout the year like PRAMANA. There are clubs for coding, dance, music, photography, and more.The crowd is friendly and diverse. The campus is clean, green, and well-maintained, with sports grounds, a gym, canteens, and hangout spots. Hostel life is okay – strict rules but safe and comfortable.
Placements
The placement opportunities are decent, especially in CSE and related branches. Big companies like Amazon, TCS, Deloitte, Accenture, and Cognizant visit the campus.Some students got high packages up to ₹46 LPA but the average package is around ₹4–6 LPA. Most students are placed in mass recruiters like TCS and Wipro. Core branches like civil, mech get fewer chances.The placement cell conducts training, but you need to put in personal effort for better results.
Value For Money
GITAM offers good infrastructure, modern labs, and a vibrant campus life. However, the fees are on the higher side, especially for engineering and management courses. For example:
B.Tech fee: ₹2.5–3.5 lakh per year
MBA fee: ₹4–5 lakh per year
Hostel & mess: ₹1–1.5 lakh per year
In CSE and MBA, placements are decent, with average packages of ₹4–6 LPA. But in core branches or other programs, ROI (return on investment) feels low.

Infrastructure is very good and it is very good atmosphere in the class premises
It is good and still should be improved and the library was very good and coming to the facilities it is good

Coming to the campus life it is very nice and interesting and good we have different sports and different clubs to improve our talent

Yes it has good quality of having placements and here wecan get the top of the companies to occupy the job and it is very good opportunity here to get a pleasure the average salary was 15 lakhs

Academics
The syllabus covers core CSE concepts like data structures, OS, and networking quite well. In 3rd year, you start getting exposed to electives like AI, web dev, or cloud computing. The teaching style depends on the faculty—some go the extra mile to guide you through practical learning, while others just stick to slides. It’s up to you to go beyond class and explore projects or certifications.
College Infra
The campus is neat and well-maintained. Most of the classrooms have working projectors, and the computer labs are updated frequently. Internet access is decent and available in hostels and academic blocks. The library is quiet and a good spot to focus, with access to both hard copies and digital study materials. Hostels are manageable—neither too luxurious nor bad—just basic but livable.
Campus Life
This is honestly a fun part. Tech fests, cultural events, and student clubs keep the vibe alive. There’s always something to participate in, whether it’s a hackathon, theatre, or music club. It helps balance the stress of academics. The student crowd is diverse, so you get to interact with people from various parts of the country.
Placements
You’ll start seeing real placement training from the end of 3rd year. Pre-placement workshops, mock interviews, and aptitude training are organized. Internships are encouraged, and there are often connections with startups and mid-sized companies for off-campus opportunities. Many seniors land offers from companies like TCS, Capgemini, and a few product-based firms too, but self-effort plays a big role.
Value For Money
Fees might feel a bit high for some, but if you take advantage of the resources—clubs, coding competitions, speaker sessions, etc.—it’s a fair deal. There are also scholarships based on merit or financial need, which is helpful. You're paying for more than just academics—it’s the overall exposure.

Sorry to say, but unfortunately Gitam University doesn't accept ap eamcet for admission. This college have it's own Entrance exam that is GAT Entrance exam ( Gitam Entrance test) . And this Entrance exam done via online , students across the Indian give this exam each year.
