Interested recruiters fill out a Job Notification Form containing all the required details about their organisation and selection procedure.
The recruitment Information is made available to students by both offline notice boards and online announcements with relevant details.
Interested students may apply for the recruitment process of a company by online application form provided by Training and Placement Cell.
Companies can go through the resumes of the interested students to shortlist the students depending upon the availability of the opportunities.
The Placement Cell, in consultation with the company, allots a particular date to the company for the campus interviews.
The recruiters visit the campus at the allotted date(s) to conduct the test(s) and/or interview(s) as per the recruitment process. The recruiters are required to declare the final list of the selected students on the date of the interview.
Note: The students should register with the GCELT Kolkata placement cell, to get updates on the upcoming job and placement drives.

It's really good experience in GCELT!
Placements
The placement scenario at GCELT is not good at all. In 2020 there was no placement opportunity from the college. And that year only 3-5 guys got a placement from college. The Average salary is around 20k, and the placement scenario was easy. And the teacher are really very supportive.

GCELT gets good placement opportunities as 80% students get the placement opportunities with highest salary of 7 lakhs PA and also 90% of students

see government college of engineering and leather technology situated in at beleghata kolkata comes under one of the renowned government institute. the placement statistics, college infrastructure, location, facilities for students is excellent. the major recruiter for CSE/ IT is tcs, byjus, wipro,, cts. average salary offered is 3.5 lpa.
