IIT Bombayyr Placements 2025: Highest Package, Average Package, Top Recruiters

In the year 2023-24, 90% of BS students were placed as per the IIT Bombay placement reports and 88% of B.Tech students were placed. The Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT Bombay) has a dedicated training and placement cell that manages all placement activities on campus. For the upcoming placement season, which extends until December, more than 350 companies are expected to participate. During IIT Bombay placements, around 40 companies conducted interviews in two slots. On day one, there was an 80% increase in regular recruiters compared to the previous year placement drives in IIT Bombay.

According to the NIRF 2024 data, IIT Bombay placed nearly 644 UG (4-year) students with an average salary of Rs 19.63 lakhs, 187 UG (5-year) students with an average salary of Rs 18.50 lakhs, and 641 PG students with an average salary of Rs 15.00 lakhs.

Top companies such as Procter and Gamble, Sony Japan, Texas Instruments, Qualcomm, and Tata Group participated in the IIT Bombay placements. During the placement drive, over 200 Pre-Placement offers were accepted. In total, recruiting firms made 1898 job offers, with 1516 offers being accepted by students. The highest domestic package offered at IIT Bombay was Rs 1.68 crore per annum, while the highest international package reached Rs 3.67 crore per annum.

• The placement office sends invitations to the companies to attend the IIT Bombay placement drive.

• Interested recruiters will create an account on the website of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay. 

• Recruiters can then create the jobs or internships containing the job details which will be verified by the executive officers.

• After verifications, the job offers are made available for the students and interested students can apply for these jobs.

• Companies shortlist the students based on their resumes.

• Thereafter, companies conduct the screening process and shortlist the students for the interview process. 

•  Companies provide a list of the selected students to the IITB placement cell.
