The Digital Technical Library functioning in the institution opens the vistas of knowledge to the student community. The computer labs housing more than networked computers cater to the computing requirements of both staff and students. The computer labs offer a mix of Dual Core and Core 2 Duo and thin technology-based terminals connected to servers. A dedicated 3 Mbps lease line has been installed to provide an uninterrupted internet facility round the clock with 125 KVA UPS for backup. GPTC also has two CADD lab facilities that provide a modern facility for instruction in a variety of computer software packages. The Common Computing Facility (CCF) forms an important component of the Institute’s infrastructure, providing a wide spectrum of services to the students as well as faculty and staff involved in research and other academic activities.

Government Polytechnic College, Kalamassery is an institution where students from far-away localities come in pursuit of knowledge, especially because it offers some rare diploma programs such as automobile engineering and chemical engineering.
