LBSM college is located in Jamshedpur, established in 1971 and was situated in Karandih,Triveni nager, Jamshedpur, Jharkhand. As a constituent college, it has been serving the academic community for over half a century. The college holds membership with the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) meaning that it deals greatly with quality education needs. With a large 12 acre space, LBSM College provides numerous undergraduate courses for 4,261 students. At present, the faculty of the college comprises 17 highly qualified and committed members of faculty to ensure a high quality of education. 

Some of these have been established to supplement the college and improve the general learning of the students. It is an important component of academic library that contains more than eighteen thousand five hundred volumes including thirteen thousand six hundred of textbooks. It pays for twenty magazines and journals, eight newspapers, and acquires between one thousand eight hundred and two thousand new volumes each year. LBSM College has also provided efficient departmental laboratories for practical knowledge of the subjects. The institution has made notable progress in a technological aspect; the two computer lobbies in the school are fully computerized and connected to the Internet with modern projection systems.

As of now, LBSM College provides Nine full time undergraduate courses and the courses are diversified enough to meet the students’ need. Such courses maybe B. Ed, B. Com, B. Com (Hons), BCA, BBA, and B. Sc. All courses as mentioned above help build a strong background knowledge for learners in their areas of specialization with hopes of further studies or job markets. 

LBSM College, Jamshedpur has its own admission modes which differs from course to course. For every course offered under the B.Ed program, the students are admitted based on merit, which includes mark obtained in the qualifying examination and/or marks secured in the entrance test.
