Mar Ephraem College of Engineering and Technology, Kanyakumari established in 2009 as an engineering College is one of the fast-growing and accredited colleges of Tamil Nadu. This affiliated college; that covers a total area of 12.44 acres; has a NAAC accreditation and AICTE recognition. MECET has 10 varied courses in 4 degree programmes and it serves the total students, 1,342. It is.SIZE Also the college has a faculty of 126 members; enough to provide a good student teacher ratio for quality education.

Mar Ephraem College of Engineering and Technology offers a range of amenities in an attempt to improves various aspects of learning. The library, which has adopted an open access policy, has a stock of 13340 numbers of volumes and 4625 titles. The library holds 4,096 books, subscribes to 96 print periodicals, of which 48 are international journals and the E-Library with includes access to 552 CD ROM databases and NPTEL video lectures. Different sporting activities including volleyball, basket ball, football and cricket can be carried out within the college compound. The college also has boys and girls hostels to accommodate out-station students’ comfortably throughout the year. Newly launched MECET has effectively planned the IT facilities that cater well to the differing needs of the IT sector to prepare the students.

Mar Ephraem College of Engineering and Technology gives students a vast choice of programmes: 6 undergraduate, 3 postgraduate, and 2 doctoral programmes, 10 courses in total. The undergraduate programmes include BE in Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering Civil Engineering Mechanical Engineering Electrical and Electronics Engineering and Artificial Intelligence and Data Science. ME offered to students includes; Computer Science and Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering and Applied Electronics which is offered at postgraduate level. The college also avails an MBA programme, an M.Sc. programme in Information and Communication Technology, and Mechanical Engineering PhD programme. But, the total approved intake for these courses in the colleges is 594 seats of which the MBA programme alone has 120 seats.
