NIFT Hyderabad Reviews on Infrastructure, Campus, Placement, Facilities & Faculty

The college comprises of all modern education technology and facilities. There are RFID readers for books issue via ID Cards, also the labs are fully equipped with well maintained imported machinery for all the branches. The there are digital classrooms and online attendence system is there for tracking students. Sports facility is one of the best in Hyderabad campus as compared to remaining 16 campuses of NIFT. Fully wifi equipped campus. Only girls hostel is available in campus. Clean and tidy

The curriculum is advanced as per the present industry demands. The latest technology in apparel manufacturing or the fashion segment, the textile as well as handloom sector is taught here which is preparing us for the industry requirements of 3-5 years ahead. The teaching quality is awesome with most of the faculty have a long term experience and are Phd. degree holders in their respective fields. We have faculties from IITs as well as gust faculty are also there on requirement basis.

The placement scenario on campus has been affected due to covid this time. Though one cannot expect lucrative packages in the domestic companies. It starts with min. 2lpa-4lpa and is further increased while you work in the industry. The companies even the renowned ones does not offer lucrative package. Students usually grab off-campus placements and are satisfied with the available company or they further keep on exploring opportunities. There isn't much support from the college wrt placements.

The course cost almost 300,000 (approx) excluding mess and hostel, as tution fees per year and keeps increasing with every new batch per year. The education we get with this is worth the amount as there are lots of machinery in ours labs even that needs to be maintained. Though the initial placement offers we get are not value for money and education. Even after spending about18 lakhs+ (Overall) we are given placements of Rs.15k-30k which doesn't seems justified with the level of edu. we get.

The campus life is amazing with NIFT Hyderabad, situated at the posh locality one can get all major services one calls for. There are events and seminars happening throughout the year. We celebrate festivals, have DJ nights. We have college fest once in a year (Spectrum) and (Converge Inter NIFT Sports and cultural fest). Teachers are supportive like guardians here. The campus is 100% safe. The campus handles emergencies really well as its a govt. funded college.

My personaly experience include we get a lot to learn from the college with students coming from different backgrounds and regions. There are lots of things to explore and experience the food, the city, the places etc.... The college party is the one which everyone awaits for. The girl population in this college is way beyond the boys. One can see handfull of boys infront of the whole college consisting of about 2000 students. Also there is a good bonding among the students of all dept. and yrs.

The college has very good infrastructure. It has also been recognised as one of the colleges with best infrastructure. It has all the facilities - classrooms with smart boards, labs, machinery and tools, workshop area, sports ground, library and canteen. It has a girls hostel within the campus. There is wifi connection in the campus. All the spaces are clean and hygenic.

The curriculum is well planned with both theory and practical subjects. We get to learn and explore different topics of designing. There are also regular sessions with experts who help clear the queries.

There are companies coming for placements every year. Students get the oppportunities based on their performance and skills. There are also internship opportunities during the course for students to gain experience.

The college fees is comparatively more for design colleges. There are many expenses for stationary and materials. Since many lab equipment and tools are required.

There are a lot of extracurricular activities also happening every year. There are sports competitions, annual fest, fashion shows and other activities that students can participate in. Faculty is experienced and supportive. The location is very convenient and all the required shops are around.

Architecture and infrastructure are both v good. Infact I think NIFT hyd is one the best NIFT campus, Architecture wise. There are many many labs, I honestly don't even know half of them. There's a ground, 2 canteens, gym etc etc

I'm studying fashion communication but since I haven't my first year which is the foundation program I don't know about my disciplinary faculty. 1st year had its highs and lows. There's a lot I've learned but I will say there could be better ways to learn them.

I honestly don't know bec im in 1st year, but my seniors say it's just fine. We usually work in our forth year, we gain our work experience, after that different people go different ways, those you want to work will work or they try new startups.

Nift being a government college, I personally feel the fees is a little high
