One of the reputed institutes, Sri Sivani Institute of Technology, Srikakulam (SSIT), was started in the year 2006. This co-educational institute is spread over 11.1 acres of land in Chilakapalem Junction, Etcherla Mandal, Srikakulam District, Andhra Pradesh. SSIT takes special care over the health and hygiene of its community. On campus is a health centre with a resident doctor who provides first-aid facilities round the clock. Gym facilities in both hostels, supervised by physical education instructors, are also available to the fitness enthusiasts among students.
