Simple college life with average academics and placements

      Academics

I am a TY engineering student, studying engineering as i want to do something innovative and academics here are mostly theory- oriented. Some teachers explain concepts clearly and are supportive, while others focus mainly on syllabus completion. Labs help in understanding subjects. The syllabus follows university guidelines but does not always include the latest industry trends. Students need to rely on self-study, online courses, and projects to gain additional skills. Academics are average and depend a lot on individual effort.

      College Infra

The college has good infrastructure. Classrooms are decent and sufficient for daily lectures with projectors but some need better maintenance. Labs are available with proper equipment and softwares, though a few systems and equipment are outdated and need upgrading. The library has basic textbooks, but the number of reference books is limited, especially during exams. Wi-Fi is provided on campus, but connectivity is slow and unreliable at times. Sports facilities are limited, with only basic options available. The campus is generally clean, and the canteen food is hygienic but lacks variety.

      Campus Life

Campus life is calm and routine-based. There are technical and cultural events, but they are not very frequent. Students generally get along well with each other. Faculty and staff are cooperative. The college location is safe and easy to reach. Campus life is simple, without much crowd or pressure.

      Placements

Placements are average in the college. A few companies visit the campus every year, mostly offering entry-level or mass recruitment roles. Students from IT and Computer branches get better opportunities compared to core branches. The highest package offered is around ₹10 LPA, while the average package is around 5 LPA. The placement cell provides basic training like aptitude sessions, but students need to prepare on their own for better results.

      Value For Money

The fees are moderate compared to other private colleges in Navi Mumbai. Considering the infrastructure, teaching quality, and placement support, the college offers acceptable value. However, improvements in labs and industry exposure would make it more worthwhile.

      Academics

Academics was good at college. The syllabus covered was at par with real life and it made us to transition easily and be job ready. We learnt so many things practically rather than theoretical and it helped us clear our concepts in a better way.

      College Infra

I found the infrastructure at Terna College quite impressive. I had access to well equipped electronics labs, air conditioned classrooms and a decent library with resourceful magazines. Computer labs were up to date.

      Campus Life

Not much of a campus life. The food at canteen was average so we used to go out and have food. Very little activities were organised and no festivals were there. We friends ourselves used to celebrate occasions but nothing official.

      Placements

The placement opportunities were decent. It was not as good as the It department but we didn’t het any major roles at companies. The most offered role was to be at production line as a junior engineer. Wished more opportunities were available back then.

      Value For Money

Overall yes you do get a value for money. We were blessed with good curriculum and infrastructure and teachers who helped us with our doubts. If placement improved it would have been much better. So yes a decent college.

      Academics

There were times when I was not able to understand the session well due to my own incapabilities and sometimes due to my lack of understanding the subject or the medium in which the lecture was delivered. The education was not giving us any awareness of the current field in job market.

      College Infra

The college had a good library and with books by foreign authors which are good for the subject and canteen facility which are well maintained during that time also there is a not so well taken care of gym at that time though I don't know how it is now. The labs were fine but the equipments were not upto the mark especially the etching liquid at workshop.

      Campus Life

The camp life was just so so since there weren't any facilities to take care of students when needed or anything similar to that.

      Placements

There were companies coming for placement but at the end they were all hiring for IT field even if that was your education in or not which is not something that I appreciate since I was an electronics engineer and the work profile is entirely different from what I am educated in.

      Value For Money

There were few who came through management quota and there were benefits for lower caste students so good for them.My fees was fine as it was expected in engineering though the level of education and the methods of teaching and lab facilities can be improved.
