Jee advanced paper 1 and paper 2 are both compulsory to write in order to be eligible for the results or to consider that you attempted the exam fully. Both the subjects have overlapping syllabus and both are held in a day that is in 3 hours shifts. Paper 2 is considered to be more difficult as per the previous years suggest.
