The university offers scholarships to needy and meritorious students. Shri Guru Granth Sahib World University scholarships are offered to students who cannot afford to pursue higher education. Shri Guru Granth Sahib World University scholarships are of three types. They are- Guru Granth Sahib Scholarship Scheme, Scholarship/Fee Waiver Scheme for Meritorious Students. Minority Community Scholarships, Post-Matric Scholarship Scheme for Scheduled Caste Students, Post Matric Scholarship Scheme for Other Backward Class Students, UGC Special Scholarship for J&K students are offered by the central govt. The details of all the scholarships, eligibility criteria and the amount are given in the table below:

Guru Granth Sahib Scholarship Scheme | Candidates should have obtained at least 60% marks in the qualifying examination. The family income of the candidate from all the sources must not exceed Rs 2.5 lakhs/annum. | 2.5% students of each class are eligible for scholarship amount equivalent to the total tuition fees of the course, remaining 2.5% students of each class are eligible for scholarship amount equivalent to 50% of the total tuition fees of the course. |
The various government scholarship schemes that students can apply are as follows:

Minority Community Scholarships | Candidates must be from a minority community such as Sikhs, Muslims, Christians, Buddhists, Parsis. The family income of the candidate from all the sources must not exceed Rs 2.5 lakhs/annum for Merit-cum-Means scholarships/Maulana Azad National Fellowship and Rs 2 lakhs/annum for Post Matric Scholarship. |
Post-Matric Scholarship Scheme for Scheduled Caste Students | Candidates must belong to SC/ST category and the family income of the candidate from all the sources must not exceed Rs 2.5 lakhs/annum. |
Post Matric Scholarship Scheme for other Backward Class Students | Candidates must belong to backward classes and the family income of the candidate from all the sources must not exceed Rs 1 lakh/annum. The candidate must have obtained a minimum of 60% marks in the qualifying examination. |
UGC Special Scholarship for J&K students | Two students from J&K admitted under the supernumerary quota scheme will be eligible for the special scholarship by UGC. |
