      All India Institute of Hygiene and Public Health (AIIHPH) offers a range of courses and diplomas for graduates in the field of Public Health. There are AIIHPH courses available for both medical graduates and non-medical graduates. There are 12 AIIHPH courses available in total. These include 6 Diploma courses, 3 Masters courses, 2 Doctoral courses and 1 PHD course. Stipends are available for all AIIHPH courses. For non-medical courses, the stipend is Rs. 7500, and for medical courses, the amount depends on the residency scheme. The eligibility and fee structure varies from course to course. Upon conclusion of courses like the Post Graduate Diploma in Public Health Management (PGDPHM), students must serve in a government post.

      Candidates must have a Bachelor degree (for dietetics it has to be a Bachelor in Physiology; Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics; Food and Nutrition; Nursing or MBBS, BHMS.)

      Diploma in Industrial Health


      Diploma in Maternity and Child Welfare


      Diploma in Public Health

      Varies between courses

      Candidates must have attempted the NEET PG exam. 


      Candidates must have an MBBS degree. 


      Candidates must have completed a one-year internship approved by the MCI

      Master in Veterinary Public Health

      To be announced

      Candidates must have an M.B.B.s or B.v.sc. & A.H Degree from the University of Calcutta or

      any University recognized by the University of Calcutta.


      Candidates must get their internship certificates processed before admission.


      Candidates who are deputed by the government (or candidates who have at least a year of experience in Veterinary Sciences in case the MVPH is the selected course)  will be given preference. 


      M.Sc (Applied Nutrition))


      Master of Engineering Public Health

      Varies between courses

      For Master of Engineering Public Health, candidates must be in-service from a Central and State Government department. 


      For Applied Nutrition, candidates must have a B.Sc (honours) in food and Nutrition/Dietetics/Food Science/Biochemistry/Physiology/Food Technology or a B.Sc in Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics with at least 50% marks



      MD (Community Medicine)


      MD (MPH Epidemiology)

      Rs. 24000

      Candidates must have attempted NEET PG


      Candidates must have an MBBS/BDS certificate. 


      They must have completed the required internship.


      They must have a Permanent/provisional Registration Certificate issued by MCI or DCI/State or Central Medical or Dental Council.


      Postgraduate Diploma in Public Health Management 

      Rs. 3,00,000

      Applicants must be candidates working with central state or local governments with at least 3 years of experience working in the health sector.  These applicants must be MBBS/BDS/AYUSH graduates or must have a B.SC in nursing, health sciences, natural science, or bachelors of occupational therapy, physiotherapy or MA in social sciences or an equivalent qualification 


      Nursing staff, municipal corp officers and other heal. Professionals are eligible


      Candidates must be under 50 years of age.
