GCE Bargur Admission Process
Government College of Engineering Bargur offers admission to a total of 8 courses in the field of Engineering and Architecture, Computer Application and IT. For GCE Bargur admission to the B.E courses will be done on the basis of the students performance in 10+2 examination. Further, the shortlisted candidates have to appear for a TNEA counselling process and seats will be allotted on the basis of merit.

GCE Bargur B.E Admission Process
Candidates have to meet the eligibility criteria.
A merit list will be prepared by DOTE and the cutoff will be released based on the marks of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in 10+2.
Candidates whose names are on the merit list have to register for a TNEA counselling.
To participate in the counselling, candidates have to register and give preference to GCE Bargur.
Seats will be allotted based on merit, category of the candidates and preference filled.
Finally, candidates need to submit the documents and pay the fees to confirm the seats.

Government College of Engineering Bargur offers a total of 3 postgraduate courses in the field of Computer Science and Engineering, Applied Electronics, and Power Electronics and Drives. All three courses are offered in full-time mode.

I like to share about the academics of Government College of Engineering, Bargur. That the quality of teaching is ok but the most important thing is be ready to start self learning or self studying. The curriculum is not updated, old syllabus is followed.
College Infra
My college living spaces are clean and the college infrastructure is good. In Government college of Engineering, Bargur, the food quality and hygiene of food is very low. The classrooms, laboratories, hostels facilities are available in the college.
Placements
Because of Government College of Engineering, the placement opportunities can be good. The quality of placements and the percentage of students were placed is average. My course is mechanical engineering, for my course there is low salary package.

Academics side it's not much better but it's better. And I'm studying electrical and electronics engineering, I don't think my curriculum is updated includes all the recent developments in the field. But the teachers are friendly and ready to help anytime. And I have gained some knowledge.
College Infra
It does have some facilities in classroom,libraries and sports centres. But in hostels and campus, the facilities are not enough whereas laboratories have some of the facilities. Overall the infrastructure and facilities in this college were average.
Campus Life
The location where college located was safe, the transport facilities are also available at any time. In an emergency time there were hospitals nearest to the college which is 2km away from the college.
Placements
It's absolutely poor, because there is no placements. But this year I could hear some students were placed and the placed number was 2 or 3. We have to work hard to be placed because the percentage of students placed was very low.
Value For Money
The fees we are paying was too less as compared to the other colleges according to myself, then the scholarship have also been provided to the students except OC category. It's cost only 30000 per year including college, hostel and mess fees, and scholarship for BC category is 7000.
