Academics
I studied Diploma in Civil Engineering at Government Polytechnic, Buxar. The reason behind opting this particular course was simply because I wanted to do it. I also appeared for the JEE Mains examination, and the seat was alloted to me on that basis only.
The curriculum was updated. The course that was Civil Engineering definitely prepares us to be job-ready.
College Infra
Government Polytechnic, Buxar has all the necessary facilities including infrastructure and the equipments with it.
The classrooms at that time was having digital boards, good lightning, and all other necessary requirements. There was library, sports equipments were also provided.
The college campus was good enough clean and maintained.
Campus Life
The campus life was okay. The overall campus was decent with almost most of the things present within it.
The students, teachers, etc. were all overall good and they were almost supportive. It's location is a bit difficult to reach. But it's safe. For emergencies, there were few facilities also present like the fire extinguishers.
Placements
The placements of the college were not best but average I would say.
The percentage of students which were placed was about twenty.
The average salary offered ro the placed students was approximately two lakhs. The process was not very difficult. College was also supportive.
Value For Money
This course costed around ₹7000 per semester, i.e., around ₹14000 per annum.
The course was pretty much worth it for the cost, and it is because I think the overall infrastructure, academics, the whole environment was good.
