JNGEC Sundernagar Admission Process
JNGEC Sundernagar offers admissions to the undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. For JNGEC Sundernagar admission to the B.Tech programme, candidates have to appear for HPCET. Candidates need to qualify the entrance test in order to appear for HPCET counselling for the seat allotment.
As per the Jawaharlal Nehru Government Engineering College admission process for the B.Tech programme, seats are allotted to the candidates on the basis of merit scores of HPCET. It must be noted that only 50% of the seats are filled through HPCET, while the remaining 50% of the seats are filled through the merit scores of JEE Main. Candidates have to appear for HPCET M.Tech or GATE for the M.Tech programme admission.
However, preference is given to the GATE scores. According to the JNGEC Sundernagar admission procedure for the M.Tech programme, seats are allotted to the candidates during the HPCET M.Tech counselling on the basis of merit scores of the entrance test, preferences filled and availability of seats.

JNGEC Sundernagar B.Tech Admission Process
Candidates first have to meet the eligibility criteria.
After that, candidates have to appear for HPCET, conducted by Himachal Pradesh Technical University.
After the declaration of the result, a merit list is released.
Qualified candidates have to register for HPCET counselling and give preference to JNGEC Sundernagar.
Seats are allotted to the candidates on the basis of merit scores of HPCET (for 50% seats) and merit scores/ranks of JEE Main (for remaining 50% seats).
Finally, candidates have to submit the documents and pay the fees.

JNGEC Sundernagar M.Tech Admission Process
First, candidates have to meet JNGEC Sundernagar eligibility criteria.
Second, candidates have to appear for HPCET M.Tech, conducted by Himachal Pradesh Technical University.

B.Tech Textile Engineering - Batch of 2018-01-01
Academics
The curriculum didn’t always focus enough on practical skills, are essential for a technical field like textile engineering. I thought there’s a lot of room for improvement in how the subjects are taught and the relevance of the content.
College Infra
Classrooms and labs are very hygiene. For a technical course like textile engineering, having more modern machinery and better facilities would have made a big difference.basic and could use some upgrades to provide a better learning environment.
Campus Life
Campus life was also nice. While the were occasional events, the overall environment wasn’t very colourful and engaging. There were not many extracurricular activities or opportunities to socialize and outside of academics.
Placements
Placements was very average. The placement cell tried to help, but the opportunities available were limited, and the process was not very organized and not that great companies that visited college for students to hire.
Value For Money
Considering it’s a government college, the fees was very affordable.The education was decent for the fees structure but there could have been a lot more focus on the facilities and job opportunities for students.

Academics
I did my B,Tech. in ECE engineering from this college and our teaching staff was too good. Our all teachers were very nice and motivating , the teaching quality was very excellent there in this college. Guest lectures and many workshops had been organized for development of all students personally and professionally both. Teachers always made us ready for industry ready.
College Infra
JNGEC is one of the top state government engineering college with good developing infrastructure , recently hostel facilities has also been started there during our batch the hostel services were not there. Classrooms are theatre classrooms and projectors are also there with wifi facility also there. Whole campus is hygienic and well maintained.
Campus Life
Campus is very huge and situated in between beautiful mountains of Himachal Pradesh. Support staff is also very nice and friendly here in this college.
Placements
College always tries to provides us with good placement opportunities as well as internship opportunities. Quality of placements is average in our college. The highest package that students recently got from here was of 9LPA. That was for textile department. There is a training and placement office in our college also which keeps updating us regarding upcoming companies in our college.

I did my B.Tech. in Electronics and Communication from this college and the teaching staff that we had at that time was full supportive and motivating. They always use to guide us very nicely, quality of teaching is very good here. The course curriculum is always up to dated . Guest lectures and different workshops are also been organized for growth of students.
College Infra
The infrastructure of our college is big and nice. Buildings are clean and hygienic. The learning atmosphere of our college is very good for students. Wifi is accessible to every student here. A huge library is also available of three different floors with different facilities provided on each floor . Everything is well maintained here.
Campus Life
Campus is very beautiful and full of pretty environment full of greenary between the mountains. Location is also very nice and safe and can handle all kind of emergencies.
Placements
At our time the placements were average of our college with average package of 4LPA. For ECE students and many internships are also been provided here for students. But the highest package was of 9LPA. that was for textile department. So you will get good and decent placement opportunities here for every students. College's department is very supportive and guides in a very proper manner to every student.
Value For Money
Yes, it is worth value for money for getting your degree done from number one state government engineering college.
