Hello Aspirant,

You will receive two opportunities to shift your department.

  1. Branch Switching end of one month:-

  • After you finished one month in the academy you can shift your department through internal sliding.
  • In this procedure, all students who need to shift their department complete an application form for internal sliding.
  • Establishing the no. of seats vacant in departments,  the ranks of students who applied for internal sliding is made and departments are reassigned.

2. Internal Sliding end of 1st year

  • Internal sliding after the first year is feasible as few students leave college.
  • If you accomplish promising results and were remarkably good in the subjects of the department you are devoted to. You can obtain the branch you prefer.
  • Established on your score and JEE Mains rank, a merit record will be made and the department will be allotted to you.
  • Vacancy in your desired department also plays a significant role.

I hope it helps. Thank you.

in all colleges the lateral entry schemes are different. when the applications for lateral entry open you can apply there and get to know the complete procedures and cutoffs relating to the same. there are no specific cutoffs mentioned for lateral entry in your college. you can check with the admission office and ask for the eligibility.

the lateral entry cutoffs are based on internal exams conducted by the college

Hi,

You should go for IIIT. This College is too  good in terms of placement and academics. LM institute of information technology and SGSITS are  good institutes but still they are private institutes and not comparable with IIIT. Well, I think IIITs have a good reputation than SGSITS & LNMIT as far as their academics are concerned we can treat them same but IIITs are more better in reputation .

As far as my opinion, you can choose IIT-BBSR over SGSITS and LNMIT.

Both of these colleges are really good. The infrastructure, faculty and placements are great for CSE. However, I would suggest you IIIT Bhubeneshwar  due to a better location and it is improving in its standards. It  would give you better opportunities for internships and placements.

Now, the final choice should be taken by you on weighing all priorities.

Hope this helps.

All the best.

Hello Anamika. I hope you are in good health. You mentioned you have secured CRL-AIR 74614 in JEE Main 2021 and want to know whether you have any chance to get admission at Shri Govindram Seksaria Institute of Technology and Science, Indore.

Hello Anmika,

Shri Govindram Seksaria Institute of Technology and Science is a government college in Indore it is remains the best college compared to various low rank NITs reason being the ranks and academics.

But the main difference is that SGSITS is State Government college and NITs are under Central Government.

I can say both are good but NITs is better in terms of placement.

Conclusion: if you get North East NITs, so go for SGSITS Indore.

Hope this helps

Thank you

Hey Jay,

Hope your doing good. From your JEE mains rank I can say that most probably there are almost no chances for you to get a seat in SGSITS, Indore. I observed previous year cutoff for Civil Engineering with Home state quota. For General category it was about 1,39,259 as closing rank. If you apply OBC reservation also there are hardly any chances for your seat. But,trying for the seat is the best you can do.So I suggest you to try various other colleges (including SGSITS) sticking to your preferred branch. You will definitely acquire a good college.
